We understand that while computers are very useful, they can be difficult to understand. We hope that these technical tips will help you as much as they help us!
Have you ever wanted to quickly get some information about your computer? Well, Microsoft has included a program in Windows 98 and above to help you quickly access your processor type, how much memory you have, your operating system version, and more. Assuming you have Windows XP, just go to the Start menu, click on Run, and then type "msinfo32" and press Enter. Soon, you will see a window pop up with plenty of useful system information!
Anybody who uses computers with any frequency will find themselves needing to open files in different directories from time to time. To make this job easier, simply hold down the Windows key (in the lower-left hand corner of your keyboard, between Ctrl and Alt), and while you're holding it, press and release the 'e' key. Presto! Windows Explorer opens right up, ready to help you find that file!
